Many of the more than 300 puppet-related posters are on the wall at IPM headquarters in Pasadena. They range from older European posters to contemporary posters. Recently, IPM acquired banners from the John Frame stop action exhibit at the Huntington Museum. The eastern European posters from Poland, Czechoslovakia, Rumania and Bulgaria are old and graphically beautiful. Some are quite old. Among those displayed are a rare Bunraku poster and one from Egypt.
Although many posters are stored in a large file cabinet by country, many of them are still in rolls and need attention. Most of them still need to be catalogued.
We hope to attend to this beautiful collection soon.
