A broad selection from the Alan Cook collection will be on display at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art from May 4 until August 28 in San Francisco. The 75 puppets represent the broad diversity of styles from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America.
The curator of this exhibition, Karin Nelson, has selected puppets representative of a variety of cultures as well as styles of puppets. Featured will be hand puppets, marionettes, rod puppets and shadow puppets. Puppet shows and other events will augment the exhibition. |
