Recently the walls of IPM have been rocked by the cry of, “LOOK WHAT I FOUND!”

Oh, by the way, let me introduce myself, I’m Steve Golden, and for the past eighteen months I’ve served as the Collections Coordinator for IPM. Admittedly, at times I feel like the “crypt keeper” or an archeological tomb plunderer but what wonders I have seen and what progress we have made in these last months.

Oh, Hi there! Hold on a moment, I have to put this box in place. THERE—that’s better.

Things are really starting to look good. I’ve already used the 150 boxes for the re-packaged and newly inventoried puppets. More boxes have been ordered and delivered giving me incentive to fill them too. It really feels good to show our visitors (YOU are certainly welcome to drop in!) our miraculous progress. Hard work does pay off.

Speaking of putting things in order, I have a favor to ask you. We are in dire need of a donation or reasonably priced flat, five drawer blueprint files. We could use two or three to store our incredible collection of posters and graphics. These items are priceless and really deserve proper storage. Please contact IPM if you know anyone who might be interested in donating or selling such units.

I am pleased to announce that Steve Seymour and I have replaced the out of date COPA banner with the new IPM banner. The design by Jackee Marks is an eye catcher. Is there anything that woman doesn't’t do…..logo design, fine arts, ceramics, puppets, origami……I wonder if she can tap dance?

Hey, what time is it anyway? Good heavens; it is half past May already! Time to get some beguiling and surprising items to show at the National Festival in Atlanta. We hope to be assigned adjoining apartments with a lounge in between so that we can host some gatherings with friends old and new.

Meanwhile let me share with you a few of my latest discoveries from the stacks.

                                                      Until my next  dispatch,

Steve
